Commr informing them that in consideration of the creditable Examination passed by Mr Ernest Woodhouse, and of his being "proximé accessit" in the late competition for a Ceylon Writership, the Camaroon is willing to confer on him a cadetship now vacant, in Hongkong, and asking them to acquaintificate him in due form.
I have already ascertained from them that they are prepared to comply.
