which the consent of the Imperial Government from establishing Branch Banks or offices in places out of the Colony (Section IV)

His Excellency the Governor suggested that provision should be made for the winding up of the Corporation, as Banking Companies are excluded from the operation of the "Companies Ordinance 1865", and this has accordingly been effected by the insertion

of Section 28 which is a valuable addition to the Ordinance.

By Section 12 the liability of Shareholders in respect of Bank notes issued by the Corporation is unrestricted.
