hipt by the Registrar, upon payment of fee, at any time during office hours.
This permission, however, has not yet been availed of.
The Companies included in the Return now forwarded, having been registered so recently, will account for the small number of Documents registered; and this will, at the same time, shew that the work of the Office is very light at present. When, however, the Ordinance becomes more fully carried out in all its details, the work will necessarily increase, but not so much, I think, as to require other Assistance.
I am given to understand that a Company will shortly be registered, under the Companies Ordinance of 1865.
I have &c.
(Signed) Dr S. Ayfrayns,
Registrar of Companies.

Melvin
Acting Colonial Secretary.
