to be replaced.
I enclose a report of a Board of officers summoned to assist at the opening of the Case from which it results that more than twenty-six pounds worth of property has been completely destroyed and that most of the remaining contents have also been affected.
The Stationery was procured from Messrs De la Rue and Company who should, I think, be called upon to replace at their own cost those articles which have been rendered useless, and the Crown Agents should also draw the attention of this firm to the very inferior class of stationery that has lately been supplied.
A complaint has also been received, which I enclose, from Mr. Stewart, the Head Master at the Government Schools regarding the slates and slate pencils supplied to his department by the Crown Agents, through Mr. Thom of Dublin.
I have the honor to be,
Your Most Obedient Servant,
Robt. W. Kennedys Acting Governor.
