With reference to my despatch 2. 62 of the 22 Apr, I transmit a copy of a letter from Mr Kinder recommending Christopher Boyd & George Molyneux for the respective appointments of Blacksmith and File-cutter in the Mint in Hongkong. The said appointments have been approved and the Crown Agents have been instructed to issue in each case an advance of 25% on account of the first half Salary, which they have been advised to come forward for.
