We have the honor to bring to your

-Excellency's notice the hardship suffered by

our Correspondents through the prohibition of the export of arms from this Colony.

We have been desirous

for

sometime

past of shipping to Shanghai or Siirgapor

Sundry Cases

of

Arms and percussion Caps

but in consequence of the local prohibitory

Ordinance are

precinded from doing som

thereby entailing severe and serious loss to

the shippers in England
