Dear Sis
Oct. 30th 1863
Havey had many opportunities of seeing the testimonials within the last twelve years and it affords me much pleasure in hearing testimony to your abilities as a Chemical Clerk.
From the great assiduity you have displayed in chemical pursuits, and from the vast amount of knowledge you have accumulated while in the laboratories of Mr Laves and of Dr Watson, and latterly in your own, I consider you well suited to fill the office of Demonstrator of Chemistry to any College you may be attached to, and trusting that you may be successful.
I remain
Yours faithfully,
(Signed) Dugold Campbell
Analytical Chemist to the Brompton Hospital
