My dear Mr Accuning,
I am very glad to have an opportunity of expressing my high opinion of your qualifications as a practical chemist.
Although it is not quite recent, dating from your studentship at the College of Chemistry some twelve or fourteen years ago, I have not had so many opportunities of meeting you as I would have wished of late years, you kept myself well informed as to your doings and have repeatedly heard with great satisfaction of the industry and success with which you have devoted yourself to Analytical Chemistry.
The very pleasant manner in which you always express yourself upon Chemical questions is one that you would acquit yourself well as a teacher, and I shall be very pleased to hear that you obtain any appointment in a School or College where you can enjoy the advantage of your instruction.
Very faithfully Yours,
(Signed) Charles L. Bloxam
Professor of Practical Chemistry, King's College, Lecturer on Chemistry at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich
