Royal College of Chemistry

October 20

4th 1063

I have great pleasure in certifying that about ten years ago, Mr Charles Tookey worked as a Student and subsequently officiated as a Junior Assistant in the laboratory of the R. College of Chemistry, and that he filled this office to my entire satisfaction. Since that time Mr Tookey has acted as assistant in several of the London Laboratories, during the last five years as in the Metallurgical Laboratory of the Royal School of Mines, as private assistant to Dr Percy. From the requirements Mr Tookey had attained, when I left Kensington,

At the Royal College of Chemistry, and from the opportunities of improving himself he has since enjoyed,

I believe that he must be eminently qualified for the duties of an analyst and assayer.
