I have to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 28th instant, enclosing a Despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, to the Duke of Newcastle; No 28. dated 30th March last; and enquiring whether there is any reason why Sir St Robinson's recommendation in respect of the furniture for the proposed Mint should not be adopted.
With reference to this question I may be allowed to explain what the amount of £1150 unbraced...
