I have now to request

that you will cause instruction to be given to the Crown agents for the shipment from Liverpool of the "Columns & Girders", also "The Roof ironwork", now being constructed by Messrs Rankin of Liverpool, the whole to be delivered by them not later than the 11th day of May next. The dead weight of the whole may be estimated at about 350 tons.

In the vessel by which the above materials are conveyed to Hong-Kong, accommodation should be secured for Mr Siggs, the Engineer in charge, his wife with infant and two other children, respectively four and nine years.
