Enquirer Foreman to assist at, and direct the creation of the Ironwork of the Building's Superstructure, the erection of the Engines - Boilers - furnaces &c. and all other iron machinery.

On completion of the Works, he must assist in superintending & keeping in repair the whole of the Machinery, and perform such other duties as may be required by the master or his representatives on the premises of the Establishment.

Salary £450 per annum with free passage for himself and family payable from date of employment in England until arrival in Hong Kong.

In the event of the Foreman not being required from any cause (excepting from his own misconduct) during a less period than 10 years - the passage of himself & family to be paid to England with full salary to the date of landing in Great Britain.

I have had John Inglis recommended for this appointment, and I believe strongly him to be in every way suitable. Enclosed are copies of his Original testimonials, which are in my possession.
