Mr Charles Davies who commenced his duties as Clerk on the 22nd instant. He has been paid monthly during his Engagement at the Royal Mint and would prefer to continue the same arrangement if not contrary.
I also ask to be informed of the views of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle as to the payment of myself. I commenced work here on the 26th November last; consequently, a quarter was completed on the 26th January.

Authorise the Agent to pay Mr Shindler monthly at the rate of £140 (the rate sanctioned) from the date of the letter from the Office authorising his employment.
Mr. Shindler was to receive full Salary, £1400 per annum, from the date of commencing work. Authorise them to pay the Salary due.
