I have to inform you that on the recommendation of Dr. Kinder, and with the concurrence of Mr. Graham, I have appointed Mr. Charles Langdon Davies to be Superintendent of the Bullion Office in the Mint of Hongkong, and Mr. F. H. Allen to be Superintendent of the Coining Department.

I annex copies of Correspondence which has taken place in respect of these appointments.
