Dispatched by the Luntai Estate for India in Council, to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 30 ult. regarding certain unclaimed Family Remittances from men of the General Service Corps Company at Hong Kong. In reply, I have to inform you that the Government of Madras have been instructed to deal with similar cases and to remit the unclaimed money to the Government of India.

By which Government similar credit will be given to the Colonial Authorities in China, and in order to expedite the return of the money to the men, I am desired to suggest that instructions should be issued to the Colonial Command in China at once to disclose the amount of the unclaimed remittances to the Officer Commanding the General Service Corps at Hong Kong.

In anticipation of the much needed relief to be given to the Hong Kong Government by the Government of India.
