Directions to the Master of the Mint for the preparation of silver and other coins subsidiary to the Dollar in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Robinson, - to the report of the Master of the Mint of 12th June 1863, in which the amount expended in the purchase of silver for the coinage for Hong Kong is stated,

communicated to the Colonial Office, and, as My Lords understand that the whole correspondence has been forwarded to Secretary of State for the information of the Public, it will probably assist on consideration, that much information has already been afforded.

and to his further report of 26th June 1863, in which the number of Silver ten cent pieces coined, and the fineness thereof, are stated.

The latter reports were communicated to the Community of the Colony, for the purpose of identifying the coins in question, as circumstances render necessary.

My Lords are disposed, however, further to enquire whether when the Secretary of State referred to the issue of a public notification,
