In reply to the question contained letter of the 10th instant I have the honor to acquaint you for the information of Honorably Council that the Crown Agents for the Colonies are of opinion, that out of the many Acts and Ordinances passed by Colonial Governments for the purpose of raising money, London Market, none better model In Hong Kong than that of Mauritius, herewith inclosed. With the few alterations and additions noted therein, the Mauritius Ordinance may easily be adapted to the wants of Hong Kong Government.
