We have perused the papers relating to the claim of the Government of Hong Kong upon the Owner of this Ship for the sum
of £1044.3.44, being a moiety of the amount paid to the Owners of two Chinese junks for the
conveyance to Hong Kong of the Crew and passengers
who had been wrecked
in this ship upon the Pratas Shoal. The correspondence does not disclose from what port the passengers in question were shipped, but if such passengers were shipped from any Port in the East Indies - or any other port
