His Excellency considers that if the Visiting Justices for each week for the Jails to extend their visits to the Hospitals the desired

result would be obtained and much good effected.

A Book would be kept at each Hospital in which

the Visitors might make such remarks as

they deem expedient and record their answers to the

questions specified at page 41 note of the

Enclosure to the Circular Despatch.

The Justices are requested to intimate

at the foot of this circular

whether they are willing to give

their co-operation opposite their names at the

Index in the manner proposed.
