The expenditure under the Head of Repairs to Buildings Sundry Repairs exceeded the amount sanctioned under Report and Estimate 2 of 1864. This has arisen chiefly from the repairs made at the latter end of last year.

not having been paid for in 1863. An extra expenditure has also been incurred this year in replacing the Iron Down Spouts at Government House with lead ones and in fixing Lead Castings required on the roof, these services have caused much injury to the Woodwork of the roof and internal fittings during the rains.

Sanction is now solicited for the expenditure of a further sum of $5000.
