Verdict, wilful murder against a certain soldier to
the
Inquest
Jurors
on view of the body of William Sonsdale a private soldier of Her Majesty's 99th Regiment, who died instantly from a gun shot wound inflicted on the night of the 13th September.
Verdict. Wilful murder against a certain Police Constable to the Jurors unknown.
Jurors
Special finding in the above mentioned Inquest.
The Jury however are of opinion that had an immediate and thorough examination been made of the Arms of all the Policemen on duty in the neighbourhood, the murderer might have been detected, as well as the other two policemen who fired. And they recommend that immediate action be taken to introduce such stringent regulations as will in future enable the Chief of Police to ascertain who discharge their pieces when on or off duty.

on view of the body of Charles Crawford Police Constable, who died instantly from drowning on the night of the 14th September 1864.
Verdict Wilful Murder against James Stringer, Jeremiah McCarthy, Patrick Keefe, Patrick See, John Hunter, Edward Wilson, Robert Jones, Jonah Holmes, Patrick Mulligan, John Mahoney and William Brighton, Soldiers of Her Majesty's 99th Regiment, and certain other persons to the jurors unknown.
