Post office at a salary of fifty dollars per
month from the 1st instant.
Provision will be made for this expenditure in the supplementary Estimates.
Upon the recommendation of Mr. Mitchell Innes, d'Aquilar has been nominated by me for appointment.
I regret to inform the Council provisionally that, in consequence of the peculiar circumstances of the case, I have been unable to comply with the Colonial regulation which prescribes half salary pending confirmation.
