Extension to Water Works
PLAN OR DESCRIPTION. PARTICULARS. LABOUR. MATERIALS TO BE PURCHASED. MATERIALS TO BE ISSUED FROM STORES. PORTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACT. TOTAL $ C. $ C. $ C. $ C. $ C. 9500 9500.During the rainy season there is ample supply of water stored at the Tanks from May to March; it is found that there is not sufficient water available at the time consequently it takes 4 or 5 hours to fill these Tanks during which time all other services must be shut off from Reservoirs. Permission has also to be obtained for laying water from these Tanks to private houses supplied from these Tanks because the main is too small, an extension is therefore solicited for replacing the 3 inch by 6 inch, the 3 inch being sent to ... Bay for the water supply to the ... Tanks are ... on ... ay ...
It is also proposed to remove the Union ... being of no use to the Albany where they are much required.
A provision is made for this proposed outlay in the Estimates for 1865.
