The object of this Ordinance is simply to embody, in a substantive enactment the provisions of an Imperial Statute 13+19 Vict. c.67, hitherto in force in the Colony by reference only.

The Colony is indebted for the preparation of this useful measure to the Commissioners who are devoting so much of their leisure hours to the compilation of a new Edition of the Ordinances.
