Any sum advanced to the Colony will involve a loss to the ... at the rate of 6 per cent per annum.
It will be necessary, therefore, that you make some other provision with the Crown Agents for supplying your agency with funds you may require.
With regard to this particular amount of $9340, should it be inconvenient to be forced into the public markets without previous warning (which it is hoped it will not be), His Excellency the Governor will direct a warrant for this sum to be passed in your favor, as was done for you before, and he hopes you will be able to dispense with this assistance.
I am to add that this Government will be willing to endorse your Bills to the extent of the advance authorised by the Secretary of State, should such a measure, in your opinion, tend to render them negotiable on better terms.
