Edition of the
Ordinances to make certain
alterations therein.
This Ordinance was
framed by the Commissioners at my request as they represented that in the course of operations they met with many informalities which they desired to rectify, and that some trifling amendments of the existing Ordinances were also desirable which might not inappropriately be included in the same Ordinance.
Section 1 embraces matters
of mere form, the paragraphs
in which will, it is hoped,
sufficiently explain the nature
of the amendments.
The amendment effected
by section 2 no doubt carries out
the intention of the Legislature
of 1844; the amendment however is required to be made because it will be observed, upon reference, that the clause as it stands, makes provision for the employment of two moieties and then proceeds to dispose of "the overplus" of the last mentioned moiety.
