I searched for the two junks and captured the first, a Cantonese junk in Fole Harbour, the consort; she was fitted out at Dong Kong. Fish boat from Brokumay was converting the latter into a pirate boat.

This Consort was the second junk and we captured her at Seng Chow where she had just gone for lament of their plunder from the pirates. The pirates abandoned her as usual with their plunder but by trying to cut them off, we got close to three, one brought down by a rifle, being severely wounded. I left him at the village where his junk was lying.

On board this first junk were the Fisherman, his wife and two sons, who were running away. A pirate mounted gun had refitted in Aongkong on the west of Lantau and on her way back on the 18th had captured and informed us of everything and were much relieved at being recaptured.
