into two classes.
As to the first Class the maximum amount be fixed at one month's pay.
To be eligible for the gratuity in this class the act should be one of extraordinary zeal and exertion resulting in the capture of Pirates, Highwaymen, or Burglars where violent resistance has been met and where the Constable's life had been placed in danger.
That to the second Class an amount not exceeding a moiety of one month's pay be fixed. To be eligible for the gratuity in the second Class the same amount of zeal and exertion must have been exhibited as in the first Class but where no resistance had been experienced by the Constable in the capture of a prisoner. Good services at Fire where exertions are prominent or any other act above the ordinary performance of duty which may demand special notice.
