The report received from the Colonial Office, which caused me to despatch the gun Boat stated that Wong hee cheong master of a fishing boat belonging to Ding chow on his way to Hong Kong evening of the 25th instant, attacked by two piratical boats each having more than twenty men with cannons and muskets, that on approaching they fired one cannon and several muskets wounding one of the crew on the deck upon which the informant, jumped overboard and escaped to the shore whence he saw the pirates take possession of his boat (which contained five two Cannons, two Muskets, 137 dollars in silver, and a quantity of wearing apparel besides other articles) and sail towards Capsing moon.
