I consider the application of Mr. Walsh reasonable, and I am of opinion that it is desirable that it should be complied with.

The Revenue of the Agency is divided between the Imperial Post Office and the French Government, and up to this time the cost to the Colony of its maintenance has been very trivial, amounting to $24.64.

Miscellaneous expenses from the opening of the Agency in December 1859 to the present time; the Salary of the Packet-Agent being paid from Imperial funds.

The amount of Revenue which accrued to the Colony from this Agency during the period from 1st July 1882 to 30th June 1883, amounted to $789.27 and from 1st July 1883 to 30th June 1884, a sum of $2,111.65 was derived from it.
