The Original Report and Estimate for the extension of Lying-in Market - $15,017/953 - amounted to 9,970 Dollars, and 10,000 Dollars was provided for the service in the Estimates for last year, but on Tenders being invited it was found that the cost of the building had been slightly underestimated, and the present Supplementary Report and Estimate is accordingly submitted in support of the expenditure in excess of that sanctioned by the Secretary of State.
