on duty with the Stone gang. I was left in charge of the Boats when the gang went to Breakfast. I saw them come back. The Constables counted them and told them to begin work; they immediately attacked the Constables and Turnkeys. I saw them knocked down. I fired at them. The Convicts got into the Boat and I had to get away - I had one round in my musket and one in my pouch, and I got another from one of the Constables; the Boat pushed off. Some of the convicts were left behind; I don't know how the Convict who was leaving was drowned. I came back with the prisoners left behind.
