Government upon certain Reserves for Batteries recently surrendered to the colony, namely:
1. Outlay on the lately erected Earthen Battery at Possession Point $4,587.34

The erection of temporary Batteries for the defence of this Harbour to be charged to Army Funds, upon the Condition that in the event of any of the Sites upon which the Batteries were erected being made over for Colonial purposes, the expense of removing the Batteries should be refunded from Colonial Revenue.
Item No. 3 is for the value of dressed Stone in the ruins of

As regards items No.1 and 2, it will be in Your Grace's recollection that Her Majesty's Government only consented to allow the expenses recently incurred in repairing the parapet at Ouchterlony Battery, which the Acting Surveyor General reports will be recovered by the Sale of the materials by public Auction.
