Sir,
In answer to your letter (M.176) of the 10th instant I have the honor to inform you that in consequence of some slight defects, now being made good, the "Bustard" will not be ready for service until about the 18th instant when I propose to communicate with Colonel Lew, the mandarin in command of the Min-gan.
