I am directed by Secretary Cardwell to transmit to you
the copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hongkong, forwarding for approval the Report and Estimate of 12 of 1864 for the extension of the Carriage Road to Kowloon, at
a
cost of $2,500.
I am to recommend this expenditure for the favourable consideration of the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury.
