Our Storey ft to Surveyor General.

Surveyor General's Office,
Victoria Hong Kong,
31st March, 1857
(Copy)
I beg to draw your attention to the fact, that for the last three or four months the greater portion of my time has been employed in drawing, and as it is more than probable that, in future, this is likely to be the case, thereby involving professional and not clerical duties for which I was engaged.
I have the honor to request that the Works be pushed on with the same spirit when I find that I am unable to live on any income, and have to give up a certain portion constantly.
If it is necessary for the proper supervision of the works notwithstanding they may be under the examination of the Overseer of Works.
I have, &c.,
(Signed.) W. Wilson,
Assistant Surveyor General.
The Surveyor General.
