I hereby certify that I very saw and examined Janis W. Thompson who was confined in Victoria gaol from the 5th April 1853 to the 10th January, 1854.
That I have never detected any symptoms of insanity during the whole of the above-mentioned period, and further that I believe him to have been in the perfect possession of his senses during the entire time referred to.
