To His Excellency the Acting Governor

and Members of the Executive Council.

The Memorial of the undersigned

Jurors in the case of Regina v. James Thompson sheweth.

That the prisoner James Thompson

was tried on the 21st April for an offence

committed on board the British Schooner Centaur, that our verdict was recorded

as "not guilty on the ground of insanity", and that we have learned with regret

that after nearly five months' confinement in imprisonment, he is still fool with no prospect of release

We beg respectfully to represent to Your Excellency

and the Honorable Members of the Executive Council
