I have to report that having received an application from the Military Store Keeper at this station for payment of a sum of £182.18.9 for ammunition supplied to the Hongkong Volunteers during the years 1862 and 1863, and having ascertained that the amount so furnished was considerably below the quantity authorized to be issued at the expense of His Grace The Duke of Newcastle, K.G.
