My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to forward a letter from the Captain Superintendent of Police recommending gratuities of Ten Dollars each to five Police Constables.
I have granted the application, and beg to ask Your Grace's sanction.
I find it has been the practice to specially report these small payments, but I shall be glad to know if it be necessary.
