LABOUR. MATERIALS TO BE PURCHASED. MATERIALS TO BE ISSUED FROM STORES. PORTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACT. TOTAL.This Report and Estimate is in support of works which are annually required and charged to sundry materials and cannot be brought forward to any one specific item of account. The supply and repair of surveying tools and extra tools for marking out roads, supply of lime for daily labor, the pay of coolies in charge of stores, repairing sign boards for streets.
Of the labor for convict and other labor special service under this Report fails to include the erection of Four Dust Depots at an average cost of $300 each, two at Lyingpoon near the Central Market and one at Saipingshan and one at Hollywood. The vote of Council is the same amount as that sanctioned for last year and will probably be sufficient for the current year. The probable expenditure will be as annexed.
