The site for the Sokumpoo School is excessively steep and rocky, and the walls are necessary on the North and West, and a small one on the Hospital Road as shown on the Plan. The site of the other school is level.
It is proposed to build these schools by Contract in the usual manner, the detail work being carried out according to specifications on split granite drawn out for the guide.
The plinth will be of dressed granite in one course, the verandahs and offices &c. chamfered with granite, the walls of brickwork plastered outside and lime to back with rough whitened inside, the woodwork of China fir, the frame of roof wrought, with no ceilings; a ventilator will also be provided as shown in the elevations.
