The works of the item for Bridges also came under review, and it was found that the line was inadvertently omitted, and that the sum voted under any circumstances would be insufficient to complete the first proposed line forming a length of 2000 feet.

In addition to the above, another question is at issue in regard to the line to be chosen through the Cantonment; this I have specially reported on in letter No. 2 of 5th January 1866 to which I beg to refer.
