That the Government work is yet unfinished in that district of Lot 83, as contemplated under the vote of funds of Govt comprises the formation of the Praya referred to in Report and Estimate No.1 of 1863, item 5, which Govt was unable to proceed with or pay for last year. Accordingly, it was proposed to proceed with this work, as it might be brought forward in a Supplementary Report and Estimate of the year. However, this has been unable to avoid, although the Lots of the French Government adjoining have nearly been reclaimed from the sea already.
Item 5 of that Estimate was not included in the total besides Item 5. How Item 1, Opening Praya, was brought forward as Item 10.
It is accordingly proposed to proceed with the work. Another Praya has to be constructed by Government westward of the nullah in Belcher Bay, with a double flight of steps 1ft wide, similar to the nullah now finished.
