A variety of services of a miscellaneous character, impossible to classify or charge to any specific item of expenditure in the Vote, are:
These services comprise the purchase of spades @ $1.50 each, shovels, wheelbarrows and such like articles required for Convict labour and for general use in the Survey Department for transfer duties, about his operations connected with the Survey and Marking out Roads.
Bamboos, flagging, Land sold, Temporary fencing, policing, watching men over stores and keepers of landing places.
$ Supply of sundry services, e.g., marking boundaries, Repair & painting the authority's carts, rollers &c. 36 36 84 12 50 200 160 350 100 300 Total 884 For miscellaneous services 143The amount authorized by Council for this Vote is proposed for this and other charges made upon it, submitted to Her Excellency in the usual manner. As circumstances demand, with the extension of the city and its increasing water works, so must the number of works in progress, and miscellaneous services increase also.
