With reference to Mr. Moore's Despatch No. 6 of the 12th January, I have to communicate to you my confirmation of the appointment of Ng Han Yü to be Shroff and Chinese Clerk of the Supreme Court, on a salary of £700 per annum, in the place of Ng Foong Shan, who has retired on a pension.
I have to acquaint The Duke of Newcastle.
