I may that His Grace The Duke of Newcastle will grant further Extension of three months, that I may have the benefit of a sea voyage to Hongkong.
The unexpired portion of my leave of Absence (little more than two months) not being sufficiently long to allow of such a voyage.
The heavy Expenses incurred by the attendance of Medical practitioners since my arrival in England leaves me in a position quite unable to meet the demands of an Overland passage, (about £160).
