for the Office, and proposing certain terms upon which the appointment should
be offered to him.
These terms are upon the whole the
lowest which would induce
a
Gentleman with the requisite qualifications to accept of the appointment, And I recommend therefore that they
be
agreed to.
I think that Mr Kinder's Appointment might
be made, and his
Salary commence, as
low
as
possible. In many respects it is more liberal than those usually granted to Colonial Servants, but I am satisfied, from the difficulty which has been experienced in finding fitting candidates,
The Ordinance Establishing
the Mint, which is expected in
a few weeks
in this Colony,
may
render it necessary
Mr. Kinder might then be directed to plan the Coinage
