I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No. 850 of the 24th ultimo, enquiring whether the Board, taking into consideration the suppression of several of the outlying Schools, is still of opinion that an Assistant Master is absolutely necessary.
I am instructed to inform you in reply that the Board adhere to their previous recommendation that immediate measures be taken for the appointment.
