I have the honor to enclose for the consideration of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle a Medical Certificate from Dr. Lacksow who attended my wife during her recent indisposition. I trust that His Grace will be pleased to extend my leave of absence for one month longer.
I should be quite content if His Grace should grant it on condition of my giving the whole of my salary for the one month in question.
